Information:
The WLAN controller configuration contains a profile for each LANCOM access point it manages. The profiles are to be found in the menu WLAN controller → AP configuration → Access point table.
The section for static IP addresses allows the IP addresses to be assigned to each access point in different ways.

Option 1:
By default, IP address assignment is configured so that each access point retrieves an IP address from the DHCP server on the local network (see the figure below).

Option 2:
If a local IP address is entered into the field but the IP parameter profile is set to the default value DHCP, the entry in the IP address field is ignored and the access point retrieves an IP address from the DHCP server.

If no IP parameter profile is selected, the configuration is invalid and the access point cannot receive a configuration from the WLAN controller!

Option 3:
With the default value in the IP address field (0.0.0.0) but the IP parameter profile set as one of the profiles created in the menu WLAN controller → AP configuration → IP parameter profiles, the access point receives an IP address from the IP address range specified in the IP profile.
For this purpose you additionally have to create an assignment group.

Option 4:
If the field IP address contains an IP address from the IP address range specified in an IP profile and the same IP parameter profile is selected, then the access point receives the specified IP address.
