Description:

The error message DSL line error (layer 1) [0x3385] is displayed in LANmonitor, when the Internet connection is to be established via an interface (layer 1), which is not yet active.

Examples:

• For xDSL the message is displayed, if there is no DSL sync yet.
  • In this case it is sufficient to wait for the DSL sync.
• For a Plain Ethernet connection (IPoE and DHCPoE) the message is displayed, when the link between the routers hasn't been established yet.
  • In this case the cabling as well as the configuration of the Ethernet ports has to be checked. E.g. in rare cases it can happen, that the port speed cannot be negotiated automatically and thus the port speed has to be set to a fixed value on both devices.
