Description:

When accessing the public IP address or the DynDNS name of a LANCOM router, the following message is displayed in the web browser:

LANCOM Support Knowledge Base > When accessing a router from the Internet via HTTPS, it issues the message “403 Access Forbidden” > Error-Message.PNG

This message is issued if access to the router from the WAN via HTTPS is prohibited and at the same time the feature IPSec- over -HTTPS is active.

It is not possible to access the router’s configuration interface. It is not a security loophole!

The feature IPSec-over-HTTPS is located in the router’s configuration under VPN → General → Accept IPSec-over-HTTPS.
