Information: Starting with version 1.91, the core service of the LANCOM Wireless ePaper Server calculates the energy status of the labels based on additional information requested from them. Previous releases relied on the operating status indicator returned by the label, which occasionally produced inaccurate results. Starting with server version 1.91, additional data is used to calculate more accurate values.
- The battery state values GOOD / LOW / BAD remain in use. All required data is automatically retrieved in the background.
- The status UNKNOWN is reported if parts of the required data are missing.
The new battery level classification is enabled by default. To disable this, the configuration keys “batteryClassificationCollectorEnabled” and “batteryClassificationEnabled” need to be changed to the value “false”. Enabling or disabling battery state classification is performed with the command-line tool cURL (download):
Disable:
Enable:
- curl -X PUT http://<Server-IP>:8001/service/configuration/batteryClassificationCollectorEnabled?value=true
- curl -X PUT http://<Server-IP>:8001/service/configuration/batteryClassificationEnabled?value=true
IMPORTANT:
The new method for calculating the value
requires a number of hours before the battery status of the label is displayed correctly in the configuration interface
following the server installation or after updating to version 1.91 .
During this initial calculation phase, the
battery icons in the configuration interface are shown in white .
