Description:
When using two LANCOM R&S®Unified Firewalls in an HA cluster only one license is needed on the Master Firewall. In case there is an outage of the Master Firewall, the Slave Firewall becomes the new Master and the license is transfered.
If the HA cluster is dissolved, the second Firewall (formerly the Slave) is unlicensed.
If the two Unified Firewalls should be configured via "Secure WEBconfig Access" in the LMC, each Firewall needs an own LMC license. After configuring the HA cluster, the license of the Slave Firewall is assigned to the license pool and can be used elsewhere. The HA cluster is indicated by a corresponding icon in the LMC. Please note, that no connection to the Slave Firewall is possible via "Secure WEBconfig Access" in the LMC.
