Traces - general:

LANCOM routers provide the option of logging internal processes in order to diagnose errors.
This trace function can be accessed from the telnet console or by means of the trace module in LANmonitor.

Below you will find a PPP trace with the meaning of each message explained.

Application:

The PPP trace function us used to monitor that a PPP-based connection is correctly established.
PPP-based connections include ISDN connections, DSL connections (PPPoE) or PPTP connections (VPN, unencrypted only with LANCOM).

To do this, enter the command "trace + ppp" at a telnet console, or open the trace module in LANmonitor and select the option "PPP".
