This document describes how to query the IMEI number by using LANmonitor or the Telnet/SSH client software Putty.
Requirements:
Using LANmonitor
Information:
Make sure that the internal 3G/4G modem has registered with the service provider, but that there is no active data transfer.
With the LANCOM router loaded in LANmonitor, you will find the IMEI number under System information -> Interfaces -> Mobile -> IMEI.
Using Putty:
Information:
Make sure that the internal 3G/4G modem has registered with the service provider, but that there is no active data transfer.
1) After logging-in to the router as an administrator with a Telnet or SSH client (e.g. Putty), you query the IMEI number by entering the following command in the command console:
tr # serial ; sleep 1s ; send at+cgsn ; sleep 1s ; tr # serial
(You can copy and paste this command to the console.)
2) The IMEI number of the integrated 3G/4G modem is in the trace output.
