Information:

Syslog entries are stored in the LANCOM in RAM (recent entries) and in the flash memory (boot-persistent backup of syslog entries).

In order to delete the syslog records in the RAM and flash memory of the device, execute the following command at the console:
    do Status/TCP-IP/Syslog/Delete-Values

It is not possible to selectively delete the syslog (e.g. only delete the syslog entries from the flash memory or vice-versa).

Writing the boot-persistent syslog backup to the flash memory of the device is enabled by default. To disable this, enter the following command at the console:
    set /Setup/SYSLOG/Backup-active no

In LANconfig , you configure this feature in the menu Log & trace -> System events.
