Question:
How can I create a router configuration without being connected to the device?
Requirements:
Procedure:
1) Move to a vacant area on your desktop and right-click with the mouse. From the context menu, select the option New -> LANconfig configuration.
2) Select the desired LANCOM device type from the Device type drop down menu. In the Firmware version field you can select the LCOS firmware version for which the offline configuration is to be created.
The Software options field shows you all of the software options that are available for this device type. You can select the software options that are relevant to your device.
3) By clicking on OK the configuration dialog will open.
4) If you close the configuration dialog with the OK button, you have the option of giving a File name to the offline configuration. This file is saved to your desktop.
5) Now right-click on the file and select the Setup Wizard.
This method enables you to set up working configurations for your devices..
