Information:

Although LCOS uses the cryptographic algorithms from the OpenSSL library, it does not use the features of the TLS stack currently impacted by the 'Heartbleed' bug.

The TLS stack features, which are underpinned by the cryptographic algorithms, are proprietary developments from LANCOM Systems and are unaffected by the 'Heartbleed' bug. The LANCOM Advanced VPN Client and LANCOM Switches are also not affected by the 'Heartbleed' bug.

The 'Heartbleed' bug is caused by a fault in the TLS implementation of the popular OpenSSL library. It is not a fundamental problem of the TLS protocol.
