Description:
This document describes how to reset the SSL settings to their default values.
With LCOS 9.20, the SSL settings were divided into different configuration folders. This can make it difficult to undo these settings without precise knowledge of the paths where they are stored.

Requirements:

Procedure:
In this example, our own settings for the SSL parameters (among other things) are stored in the path Setup/Public-Spot-Module/SSL-for-Page Table/.
These need to be reset to the default settings specified by the system.

Initiating this process will reset all SSL settings to their defaults. If you do not wish to perform a global reset of all SSL settings, you instead manually change the parameters in the appropriate path.

On the command line, enter the command ssldefaults and confirm the security prompt with a y.
The SSL settings are then returned to their defaults with the protocols TLSv1, TLSv1.1, TLSv1.2 and TLSv1.3 enabled.

As of 2024 the protocols TLSv1 and TLSv1.1 should not be used anymore. TLSv1 and TLSv1.1 are only present in the default configuration due to compatibility reasons.

If the TLS server supports TLSv1.3 or TLSv1.2, this is negotiated preferentially.
