Scenario:
You have a VDSL connection which you wish to operate with a LANCOM router.
Procedure:
1) Launch the Setup Wizard and select the
option
option Set up Internet access.

2) In this example we set
up
up a new IPv4 connection.

3) Select the
setting
setting Ethernet interface (external modem/router)in order to use an external modem.

4) As the first external VDSL modem is connected to the WAN port of the LANCOM router in this example,WANEthernet connector must be selected in the following dialog.

5) Select

6) In the subsequent dialog select the

option Internet access via PPP over Ethernet.

7) In the next dialog, give the Internet connection
a
a Name.

9) You will be prompted for several further settings for Internet access. Select the
option
option VDSL connection...and enter the VLAN tagin the field below for this connection.

VLAN tag 7is the default for VDSL with most service providers. If you are uncertain, please contact your service provider for more information. The Provider ALICEuses VLAN-Tag 11.

10) You can apply the following default settings without modification. If you wish to use a different time for the daily forced disconnection, change the values in the appropriate fields.

11) In this example,no backup connection is used, so we will retain the default settings.

12) Exit the setup Internet connection wizard with
