Starting with iOS version 12.2, profiles have to be installed separately in the settings of the iPad or iPhone. This also applies to the myVPN app.

This article describes how a myVPN profile can be obtained and installed with an iPad or iPhone as of iOS version 12.2.

How to setup the myVPN profile on the router and obtain a profile with iOS up to and including version 12.1 is described in the following article: Dokumentlinksymbol


  • Apple iPad or iPhone with iOS from version 12.2
  • Installed myVPN app. This is available free of charge from the Apple App Store.


1) Start the myVPN app and click Manually add device.

2) Enter the IP address or the DynDNS name of the router from which the myVPN profile is to be obtained.

You can also specify the HTTPS port if your scenario does not use the default port 443.

3) Click on the remote specified in step 2.

4) Enter the pin to obtain the profile.

5) Confirm the warning message by clicking on Add.

6) Click on Allow to download the profile.

7) Confirm the message by clicking on Close.

8) Switch to the Settings for your iPad or iPhone and click Profile downloaded.

9) Click on Install.
    If the profile is not installed within 8 minutes of the download, the profile will be deleted and it must be downloaded again.

10) Enter your passcode.

11) Confirm the message by clicking on Install.

12) Enter the pin of your myVPN profile.

13) Complete the installation of the myVPN profile with a click on Done.

14) This concludes the download and installation of the myVPN profile.

15) To establish the VPN connection, switch to the menu Settings and click on myVPN remote.
