Description: Until LCOS version 7.5x, data traffic between wireless LAN clients at one or more access points could only be prohibited globally. LCOS version 7.60 offers a finer control over data-traffic restrictions as this can be set for each logical WLAN (SSID):
- Within an SSID
- Within all of one access point's SSIDs
- Globally between different access points
Requirements:
Procedure: LANconfig: 1) Navigate to the menu Configuration -> Wireless LAN -> General -> Logical WLAN settings-> WLAN network (x). 2) Enable the option Allow data traffic between stations of this SSID. 3) Open the menu Configuration -> Wireless LAN -> Security. Here you can specify whether SSID data traffic is allowed or prohibited either locally or globally. WEBconfig: 1) Open the configuration of the LANCOM access point in WEBconfig and go to the menu LCOS menu tree -> Setup -> Interfaces -> WLAN -> Network -> WLAN network x. 2) Under Inter-station traffic you can specify whether SSID traffic is allowed or prohibited either locally or globally. 3) Navigate to the menu Configuration -> Wireless-LAN -> Security. Here you can specify whether SSID data traffic is allowed or prohibited either locally or globally. |
