This article describes which purpose each Public Spot template serves and which slot they have to be uploaded to in the Public Spot gateway. The sequence of the templates for the three different authentication modes is described by means of flow charts.
Description of Public Spot pages and assignment of the templates:
Optionally the Welcome page can be prepended to the Login page or Registration page. E.g. the Welcome page can be used to describe the login process of the Public Spot or notify users about information regarding the local offer.
The Login page contains the login form and is needed when using the authentication modes Authenticate with name and password respectively Authenticate with name and password and MAC address.
The Error page is only displayed for non-authenticated users. It is displayed in the following cases:
After sucessfully logging in to the Public Spot, the user is forwarded to the Start page. The Start page forwards the user to the originally invoked web page.
The Status page is automatically invoked after successfully logging in to the Public Spot and shows information regarding the current session (e.g. usage time, transmitted data volume and remaining time). The Status page also contains a button to logout from the Public Spot.
The Logoff page confirms the successful logout from the Public Spot.
The Help page can be used to display information regarding the login to the Public Spot or the acquisition of vouchers. Since the Help page isn't part of the integrated templates, there is no link in the other templates. Thus, if needed, the Help page has to be edited manually, uploaded in the Public Spot gateway and linked to the Login or Welcome page.
The No-proxy page is always displayed, when a user tries to open a website via port 8080 instead of port 80. Port 8080 is generally used by a HTTP proxy. Since a proxy is configured statically in the browser settings, which cannot be configured via DHCP, the proxy cannot be contacted in a Public Spot network. This page signals the user, that in order to be able to login to the Public Spot, the proxy has to be deactivated.
The Voucher page is used as a template for printing the vouchers. A voucher contains the login credentials for the Public Spot. It is possible to adapt a voucher to your own Corporate identity by editing the voucher template.
|Fallback error page|
The Fallback error page is displayed, when the device cannot deliver a user defined template page and a fallback to an integrated page isn't possible. The delivery fails, when the wrong template link has been entered in the Page table or the template hasn't been uploaded yet.
