Description:
This document describes how you can transfer all the VPN connection profiles in a LANCOM Advanced VPN Client installation to another installation.
This procedure is particularly recommended if you want to transfer the connection profiles of an Advanced VPN Client for macOS to another Windows or macOS installation.
Requirements:
- LANCOM Advanced VPN Client for Windows or macOS as of version 3 (download)
Procedure:
1. Open the installation directory of the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client
- Windows:
- VPN-Client until version 4.x: C:\Programme\LANCOM\Advanced VPN Client
- VPN-Client as of version 5.x: C:\Program Data\LANCOM\Advanced VPN Client\data (This folder is only displayed if the "Hidden elements" view setting is active)
- macOS: by default <name of the mounted volume>/Library/Application Support/NCP/Secure Client
2. The file ncpphone.cfg is located in the installation directory.
3. Make a copy of this file and paste it into the installation directory of a newly installed LANCOM Advanced VPN Client. This works both when installing the Advanced VPN Client for Windows and for macOS.
