Information:

If the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client stops working after you update to the Windows 10 version 1511 (Threshold 2) and an error message appears showing "Trial version expired or software not activated", you need to proceed as follows.

    1) Use the Profile settings backup in the Configuration menu of the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client (see the instructions at the end of this document).

    2) Copy all backup files to an external data medium , so that they can be recovered in the event of loss.

    3) Uninstall the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client.

    4) During the uninstall process you will be asked to deactivate the VPN Client license . Proceed by deactivating the license.

    5) After uninstalling the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client it is essential that you restart the PC.

    6) Download the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client Version 3.04 or later from the LANCOM website ( download ).

    7) Install the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client Version 3.04 or later on the Windows 10 system.

    8) After installing the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client it is essential that you restart the PC.

    9) Activate the license for the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client version 3.0.

    10) Using the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client, import the profiles backed up in step (1).



Backing up the profile settings:

1) Open you the menu Configuration -> Profile settings backup -> Create.


2) Confirm the subsequent message with Yes.


    Note:
    The backed-up profile settings are stored to the file NCPPHONE.SAV in the installation directory of the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client. To restore the profile settings, select the menu item Configuration -> Profile settings backup-> Restore .
