This document describes how to ascertain which installation issues occurred when updating the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client to version 3.0, and store them to a log file. The generated log file can be sent to LANCOM Support for analysis.
1) The installation file of the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client is started as follows:
<File-name> /v" /log "%USERPROFILE%\ncp_log.txt""
LC-Advanced-VPN-Client-Win-3.00-REL-x86.exe /v" /log "%USERPROFILE%\ncp_log.txt""
2) This writes a log file (ncp_log.txt), which is stored in the Windows user folder.
3) You need to send this file to LANCOM Support for analysis.
