Description:

In some situations, you may not want to transmit your phone number when you make an outbound call. If the number is to be suppressed for individual numbers only and a SIP trunk is used, this has to be implemented by the Call Routing table. When using single-line accounts, CLIR (Calling Line Identification Restriction) can be enabled directly for each SIP, ISDN or Analog user.

It is also possible to suppress the phone number for inbound calls so that the caller cannot be identified from the phone number. Whether you use a SIP trunk or single-line accounts, the latter is done via the Call Routing.

Requirements:

Procedure:

Suppressing the calling-line number for an outgoing call from a certain phone number:

1) Suppressing the calling-line number for an outgoing call from a certain phone number (SIP trunk):

1.1) In LANconfig, open the configuration dialog for the router and switch to the menu item Voice Call Manager → Call router → Call routing.

1.2) Mark the call route for international calls and click Copy.

1.3) For the copied call route, adjust the following parameters:

  • Calling number - Mapping: From the drop-down menu, select the entry EMPTY.
  • Calling number - Filters: Enter the number to be suppressed in the format <Country code><Area code with no leading 0><Switchboard number><Extension> (e.g. 4924051234512).

1.4) For the call routes for national calls and city area calls, adjust the same parameters as those modified in step 1.3).

1.5) The call routing table must now look as follows:

1.6) Repeat these steps for further phone numbers, if applicable.

1.7) This concludes the configuration. Write the configuration back to the router.
